Safety shoes as a necessary labor protection products to protect the safety and health of the workers in the production process, the choice of its material is very important. The following is a detailed introduction to the common materials of safety shoes:
First, the upper material
dermis
Definition: Dermis is the raw skin peeled off the animal and made of leather materials after tannery.
Classification: The dermis is divided into the first layer and the second layer. The first layer of skin is cattle, sheep, pig skin with grain, with natural scars and blood tendon marks, strength, elasticity and process plasticity is good; The two layer skin is the loose two layer part of the fiber tissue, which is sprayed or coated by chemical materials, and the strength is poor, but the price is relatively cheap.
Features: Leather has good permeability, softness and hygroscopicity, but the price is higher. Common leather materials are cowhide (including cow skin, buffalo skin, etc.), sheepskin (sheep skin, goat skin) and pig skin.
Regenerated bark
Definition: Rawhide (also known as imitation leather or rubber) is the waste skin and leather scraps of various animals are crushed and processed with chemical raw materials.
Features: Regenerated leather variety, good waterproof performance, neat edge, high utilization rate, the price is cheaper than real leather. However, its feel and elasticity can not achieve the effect of real leather, and the strength is poor.
Artificial leather
Definition: Artificial leather is made on a textile fabric base or non-woven fabric base by a variety of different formulations such as PVC and PU foam or film processing.
Features: Artificial leather can be processed according to different strength, wear resistance, cold resistance and color, gloss, pattern and other requirements, with a wide variety of colors, good waterproof performance and other characteristics. However, the feel and elasticity of most artificial leather can not achieve the effect of real leather.
Second, sole material
The soles of safety shoes are generally made of wear-resistant, non-slip and impact-resistant materials, such as stainless steel or non-metallic synthetic materials, as well as density PU injection plastic or rubber EVA/PU midsole. Among them, polyurethane (PU) material is widely used because of its easy production, large quantity, certain moisture absorption and air permeability. However, it should be noted that PU material is not resistant to high temperature, so it is suitable for normal temperature working environment.
Third, other special materials
According to the different functional requirements of the safety shoes, other special materials may also be used, such as:
Anti-smash safety shoes: The front head of the shoe is lined with metal materials with good impact resistance, high strength and light weight.
Chemical safety shoes: The upper material may be acid-alkali resistant rubber or polyethylene plastic.
Anti-static safety shoes: equipped with anti-static or conductive soles, the entire shoe does not use metal materials.
Cold safety shoes: the interior is filled with fur and felt boots and other materials, with good thermal insulation performance.
In summary, the material selection of safety shoes is diverse, aiming to meet the safety needs of different working environments. When choosing safety shoes, the appropriate material and style should be selected according to the specific working environment and safety requirements.
Our factory was established in 2003 and we specialize in personal protective equipment, including PVC rain boots, rubber rain boots, EVA rain boots, safety shoes, helmets and other P P E products.
