Safety shoes grade introduction

The grade of safety shoes is mainly divided according to its protective performance and scope of application. Different industries and work environments have different needs for safety shoes, so there are multiple grades of safety shoes to meet different protection needs. The following is some introduction to the safety shoe grade:

Safety shoes grade introduction

First, according to the protection function

Anti-smash safety shoes:

It is mainly used to protect the feet from the risk of injury caused by heavy objects.

Protection levels such as An1, An2, An3, among which An1 protection level is the highest, suitable for metallurgy, mines, ports and other high-risk workplaces; An2 is suitable for general working places such as machinery and construction; An3 is suitable for relatively low-risk industries such as electronics and food.

The main factor that determines the protection level of anti-smashing safety shoes is the quality of the selected steel baotou, and the anti-smashing performance of different steel baotou materials is very different.

Puncture resistant safety shoes:

Used to protect the sole of the foot from sharp objects.

It usually has a puncture resistant steel midsole to improve protection.

Protection level such as 1, suitable for mining, fire protection, construction and other sites that need to be punctured.

Anti-static safety shoes:

It is mainly used to avoid flammable and explosive accidents caused by static electricity in the workplace.

Its resistance value must meet specific standards, such as 100K ohm -1000M ohm.

Acid and alkali safety shoes:

It is suitable for the chemical industry to protect the feet from the corrosion of chemical substances such as acid and alkali.

It should be noted that acid-resistant shoes are not suitable for some materials such as PU soles.

Oil resistant and non-slip safety shoes:

With anti-slip design, it is suitable for catering, hotel, logistics and other industries to prevent falling due to wet ground.

Electric insulation shoes:

For electrical equipment and low-voltage live work in the workplace to prevent electric shock accidents.

Must meet specific electrical insulation performance standards.

Second, according to European standards (EN ISO 20345) and Australian standards

In addition, there are some safety shoes in accordance with the European standard (EN ISO 20345) and Australian standards are divided, such as SB, SBP, S1, S1P, S2, S3 and other six categories. These classification standards comprehensively consider the safety shoes of oil resistance, anti-slip, anti-corrosion, high temperature resistance, impact resistance, puncture resistance, anti-static, waterproof and other protective properties.

SB class: with steel head, no steel plate, no anti-static function, is the most basic anti-smashing safety shoes.

SBP class: On the basis of SB class, anti-puncture steel bottom is added, which has anti-smashing and anti-piercing performance.

S1 class: with steel head, no steel plate, anti-static function, suitable for workplaces that need to prevent static electricity.

S1P class: On the basis of S1 class, anti-puncture steel bottom is added, which has anti-smashing, anti-piercing and anti-static properties.

S2 class: On the basis of S1 class added waterproof function, suitable for wet or need waterproof working environment.

S3 class: is the highest level of safety shoes, with anti-smash, anti-puncture, anti-static, waterproof and other protective properties.
